Martine Mbarzouga: Gifted Hands

“My passion for painting is genetic I would say. Every day that passes I work to paint better, to surpass myself more” she goes by the name Martine Mbarzouga, an exceptional talent in the painting domain. To those around her, she is capable of painting one's soul. In an exclusive interview with 100%Jeune, the young painter tells her story to the world.

Born on the 28 of September 1991 into the home of late captain Mbarzouga and Magne Odile, her dream is to become a world class painter someday. With a baccalaureate certificate in Spanish literature, Martine read Iberian and Italian studies at the University of Yaoundé 1.

Being a self-taught painter and a financial advisor at an insurance company, the young painter hopes to fully make a living from painting alone in the days ahead.  As of now, this art of hers gives her 70% of her daily income, while the other 30 is being cared for by her other activities. With Covid-19 on every surface we touch these days, it has not been easy to make ends meet as before, due to the slowdown of activities.

Nevertheless, the young painter is very hopeful about the future and hopes to work even harder, despite the challenges and become a role model in her domain of expertise.
