When Eddy Kenzo runs the world…

Coming from Uganda, Eddy Kenzo is one of the most talented musicians in Africa and will continue to shine.

Idrissa Musuza, popularly known as Eddy Kenzo, was born in Masaka in Uganda on the 9 of april 1989. At the age of five, he lost his mother and lived on the street for 13 years. A Good Samaritan rescued him and helped him but due to certain circumstances, he was no longer able to continue his studies.

So, he returned to the street in Masaka. He sold Kampala water and sodas on sidewalks in   stadium during matches and other events. Later, his passion for football brought him to join the Ugandan club "Jogo Yang". He was therefore able to continue his studies.

After high school, he adopted Eddy Kenzo as his stage name and began writing music. He entered the studio to perfect his art in 2007. As a singer, composer and performer, he began working with some personalities of Ugandan music.In 2008; he featured in the popular song "Yanimba" by Mikie Wine. The single met with great success, but was widely criticized because it was used as the theme song for the presidential campaign of Yoweri Museveni, the ugandan President since 1986. He released the album Ogenda Kunzisa in 2012. In 2013, he released Kamunguluze and toured the United States. The song "Sitya Loss" became his most popular song in May 2014. No doubt inspired by his life. "Sitya Loss" speaks of happiness and joy that we must always keep in spite of the vicissitudes of life. The video gets the impressive number of 8,682,575 visits in February on Youtube. After his success in 2014 and many concerts across the world, he finds himself with Gasha for the title "Chilli".Bebi Philip for "Balumba" Remix. "Lopangwe" with Serge Beynaud.Kcee for "Jambole" Remix. Nothing can stop him. His solo career continues, he released singles such as "Happy" and most recently "Zikido". This latest song has a prominent place in African hits. His star is set to shine.
