AFCON 2021: Cameroon lodged in Group A

Cameroon will play alongside Burkina Faso, Cape Verde and Ethiopia, come the Start of the Total Africa cup of nations salted to take place in January  on Cameroon soil. This was made known at Yaoundé conference center on Monday August 17 2021, in a ceremony to draw the different pools of the game.

It is official, the indomitable table lions will have to prove their superiority in January 2022 when they knock horns with Burkina Faso in the opening encounter of the Total Africa cup of nations.  Football pundits and lovers in Cameroon have been commenting about Cameroon's position in the AFCON draws. To them the group gives Cameroon a free ticket to the next round of the competition, given the fact the teams involved are not too renowned in the African football status quo.

However other schools of thought hold the assertion that the group is one susceptible to creating surprises in such great competition. Thereby engaging Cameroon to Much more vigilance and tact in a bid to ensure themselves a smooth passage to the next round, come January next year.

The draws have been made, the 24 teams divided into six groups have been announced. Time for each team formation to go back to their drawing boards and fine tune strategies which will propel them to the top spot of the podium at the end of the competition.
