New Breed Africa Celebrity Awards (MBAKA Awards 2016)
Woohoo! The first ever Awards rewarding Talents in Bamenda organised by the New breed Africa Foundation {Mbaka Awards 2015} took place on Satuday,Feb. 20, and it was epic!!!
Bamenda was on fire on the 20th of Febuary 2016 as the New Breed Foundation was rewarding outstanding talent for the year 2015.The event took place at the Blue Pearl Hotel Plaza Bamenda. This was the first award of its kind in Bamenda and it was something to remember and to talk about as all our favourite Bamenda stars from Music, fashion and entertainment came together under the same roof.
The New Breed Africa Foundation is an association that is out to raise a new breed of youths with noble characters, leading decent and responsible lives contributing to nation building. New breed celebrity award is one of the projects under the New breed Africa Foundation and it is aimed at identifying, developing, exposing and award home artists and getting the local population to start appreciating and promoting what is home through award projects and shows.
During this edition 14 awards were giving out to North West artist cutting across all generations from veterans to the young. Among the 14 awards given, there were two special awards, which went to most outstanding youth artist of the North West Richard Kings and most outstanding reggae artist of the North West Ankias Vallyman.
The other prizes went to Magasco as best male of the year, Tilla as best female, Leonette as best female revelation, Harris Banks as best male revelation, Charly B for best song, Ghetto Prince for best collabo, Fanka for best rap, best afro jazz Damien Blue, best video Petit Champion.
Bravo to the organisers Atangche Zita, the very dynamic and tenacious host of the event Eystein Young Jnr and the very beautiful and talented Loveline Bauer, who proved they were not only amazing event hosts but incredible actor and actress. But it was the performance that really shined out during the ceremony as the energy on stage of artist like Tilla Raps , El Presido Gee Reign Ayeah Leonette ,Charly B, Melvin Melve,Fanka amongst other, not forgetting Ankias VallyMan and Awu Donson wowed the hundreds of spectators present.
