MTV Movie and TV awards 2018 : Tiffany Haddish dit it!

The 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards was held on June 16, 2018, from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California, U.S. and was broadcast on June 18, 2018. Similar to the 2016 MTV Movie Awards, the event was not aired live and was pre-recorded on June 16 prior to its June 18 broadcast date.

It was the 27th edition of the awards and the second to jointly honor movies and television. The ceremony was hosted by Tiffany Haddish

Black Panther and Stranger Things dominated the 2018 MTV Movie & TV Awards with widespread Wakanda pride and '80s nostalgia as Black Panther won the most film awards and Stranger Things took home the most prizes in television.

Black Panther took home four awards, including Best Movie, and actor Chadwick Boseman earned two trophies for Best Hero and Best Movie Performance.

Boseman even gave his Best Hero award to real-life hero James Shaw Jr., who fought off a gunman at the Tennessee Waffle House shooting earlier this year.

Although she was presenting the show, Haddish won the award for Best Comedic Performance for her role in Girls Trip.

The highest honours of the night were given to actress and writer Lena Waithe (The Trailblazer Award) and actor Chris Pratt (The Generation Award).
