Melb Akwen: “ton amour la ma frappe ohhhhhhhh”

Her real name is Foncho Margaret Akwen, One of Cameroon’s finest female artist. She hales from Bamenda in the North West region of the country and a native of Mankon. She grew up in Yaoundé where she did most of her educational life. She studied law in the university where she graduated with a bachelor’s degree. She then decided to get into full time professional music.  With a rich musical background and impeccable and ever loving fan club to her support, she has been in the music industry for the past ten years. A period filled with ups and downs from 2008 till 2014 where she came under the spot light. Her two latest singles that have made buzz around the national territory are “FRAPPE” and “BELLA”.

 Far from being an exceptionally bright female artist, she is almost her own boss as she owns a whopping 50% of Kmer Empire the record label under which she is signed in. She is a proud nominee for this year’s canal d’or awards. And is also a proud holder of an awards under the category of best female of the year.

Her newest release “10 ans” which is currently out on YouTube since March 1 2019 is hitting the banks of the national territory. To her young female artist, she encourages them to be sure about the music profession they are about to take up thus the road to genuine success is narrow filled with a lot of sexual assaults. She beacons them to stay strong and pray hard as well as she acknowledges her fans for their unwringing support and is promising them a lot to hope for before the end of the year.
