Cameroonian Month against AIDS: Key notes

Cameroon has joined the fray in the celebration marking the 33rd edition of the World AIDS month under the theme “Global solidarity, shared responsibility”. This serves as an opportunity to engender an all in one mobilization as well as advocate accelerated measures for the annihilation of AIDS as a menace to Public Health.

With the Covid-19 Pandemic a veritable plague to the National and International Community, Cameroon has celebrated the 5th edition of her Traditional cameroonian month for the fight against AIDS under the slogan “Acting Together to protect the vulnerable”.

The Cameroonian month for the fight against AIDS serves as the bedrock to intensify sensitization activities such as HIV screening, prevention campaign, which predominantly affects youths 15-24, which according to statistics are the main victims, and also to fuel the 90-90-90 target envision which stipulates that by 2020, 90% of people will know their HIV status, 90% who know their status would have access to treatment, 90% of people on treatment should have suppressed their viral loads.

Stay safe, and let’s say no to HIV and AIDS in the reglo style
