Female AFCON: the lionesses didn’t failed

The indomitable lionesses are qualified for the world cup tournament for the first time after taking the 2nd place at the African Nations Cup.

Despite the fact that the girls of Enow Ngatchu were not prepare enough for the tournament, they began the campaign for the 2014 edition of the African Women’s Championship with a 1-0 victory over the Republic of South Africa.

After all the difficulties, and their defeat against Nigeria female team at the final, the Lionesses succeeded to be qualify for the world cup. The lionesses for now will have to content themselves with a place in the world cup and defer the dream of winning the African championship for 2016 when Cameroon will be hosting the tournament.
For the future, the captain Christine Manie and her team have ambitions to play with hard and bring back the trophee at home, but many things have to be changed until the next competition so that, they will do their best.
